At the end of the first day of the Conference, all participants are invited to welcome drinks and food on the terrace of “Casa Universitarilor din Iaşi (Casa Canta)”.

 

 

 

 

Guided City Tour, June 15th, 15:30-17:45

On Thursday afternoon, all participants are invited to a guided tour of the city center.

The „Essential Iași” walking tour proposes a cultural interpretation of the city of Iași with a geographer guide! For almost three hours, you can understand the city and its major historic assets: former Capital of Moldova, University City, and Orthodox Pilgrimage Destination of Romania.

The starting point will be the „Casa Universitarilor” (House of Academics), near the University Palace and our end-point will be the Palace of Culture – the symbol of the city. The tour offers around 20 stops in front of iconic places of Iași, including two indoor presentations: Art Gallery „Georgies” and the Orthodox Cathedral. The discussion and dialogue include some of the main themes of Iași: Union, Communism, Arts, Jewish remembrance, Romantism etc., and emphasize stories, people, architecture, geography, and history.

 

Conference Dinner, June 15th, 19:30-22:30

The Conference Dinner is organized at Golden Stone Resort, on the lake Ciric.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lunch

During the conference, lunch will be served in the restaurant of “Casa Universitarilor din Iaşi (Casa Canta)”.
